Our winemakers crafted the 2015 Mendocino Ridge Pinot Noir with the same attention to natural grape characteristics as our single vineyard wines. The ridge-top wineries at elevations of at least 1200 ft receive uninterrupted sunlight on peaks that appear like islands above the clouds. The 2015 is a light and delicate Pinot Noir with an elegant and powerful tannic structure, this wine features aromas and flavors of cherry galette, leather, tobacco, vanilla and clove.

About the Appellation
Mendocino Ridge is adjacent to the Pacific, characterized by its tall peaks that rise above the fog line. The high elevations, peaks over 1200 feet and within 10 miles of the Pacific Ocean, create optimal sun conditions without the threat of frost. Afternoon breezes keep the ridge vines cooler than in the valleys below resulting in fruit forward wines with high acidity and a strong tannic backbone. These wines are naturally limited in quantity by the terrain.
